The Manila Zoo might not be as big as the other popular zoos around the world, but when in town, you must visit the place, as it provides enough entertainment for a day, to people of all ages.

Known for being sultry and warm during the summer, it is a blessing that the zoo isn’t too big, thereby making you walk around less. Also, the trees in most parts of the zoo provide shelter from the sunshine, meaning you can start your exploration of the zoo pretty early in the morning.
Location
Being close to the coast, the zoo is easily accessed from a typical hotel in Makati the likes of Berjaya Makati Hotel, from which the zoo is just 30 minutes away.
Going In
As soon as you buy your tickets and walk into the zoo, on your right, you will see the Indian Elephants. Always a pleasant sight, these elephants then give way to enclosures that have snakes and a variety of lizards.
What to expect
From a range of native birds to animals and marine life, the Manila Zoo has plenty to offer. Spending a day at the zoo will be a fun and knowledge acquiring day for people of all ages.
