To experience the most out of Thailand, the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre is the best one-stop destination.
Location
Located in the heart of Bangkok’s busy and bustling city, the Art and Cultural Centre is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the National Stadium BTS and is easily accessible from most of the hotels around the area. You can consider staying at a Bangkok riverside hotel the likes of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort and plan a visit to this site.
Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre
Visiting the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre is a relaxed occupation, with free entrance and long opening hours. The interior resembles the infamous New York Guggenheim with its wide sweeping white façade and spiral-shaped walkways.
History
The Art and Cultural Centre was initiated by the Bangkok governor Bhichit Rattakul. There was a significant pause in the construction due to financial restraints but in the year 2005, the process of building this structure once again started.
The Exhibits
The centre is not only about a single form of art but instead features contemporary design, sculpture, theatre, music, film and much more. Whilst not being a setting for fine arts per se, the Centre certainly establishes and brings together a wide array of Thai and International Art that is vastly appreciable and certainly stunning in its own right.
