Unawatuna beach is truly a beautiful sight with sands of beige and shallow light blue waters. The sea waters here are calm all year round because of the bay. The stumps of rock here and there bring in a unique touch to the beach. Unawatuna is situated to the south of the island a few kilometers away from Galle. The area is full of awesome hotels and resorts along the coastline.

The sea breeze here is quite refreshing, the waves are great for activities like kitesurfing. Walking about the town one will see that a slice of history remains in the colonial style buildings and old Dutch fort.

Bentota Beach

Bentota beach is truly breathtaking with its fantastic waves and lagoon. It is a popular beach for sunbathing and water sports such as jet skiing and surfing. It is a touristy area with many resorts and restaurants across the area. This long stretch of beach is great for family hangouts as is very popular with the locals in the area as well.

Mirissa Beach

This is a peaceful area without the hustle and bustle of the normal cities. The beach in the middle of a bay with turquoise waters and just the place for some quiet relaxation.
