Overview
The Royal Bhutan Monastery was built by the King of Bhutan as a tribute and to show respect to Lord Buddha. The monastery features some of the most important parts from the life of Lord Buddha and some of his important teachings. The temple attracts Buddhist devotees from all across the globe.

The Monastery’s distinctive architecture is a mix of both Indian and Chinese influences and it is built to reflect the life history and the teachings of Lord Buddha. There is a temple located within the premises of the monastery. The walls of the temple are beautifully carved with sculptures which include a magnificent 7-foot statue of Lord Buddha.
