If one were to inquire about the definition of the oh so common three-letter word we call “Art”, what would it be? The meaning of this simple word would differ from person to person, but in the end, art is simply a feeling/thought process that is conveyed through a canvas to the outside world!

Welcome your inner interests

Becoming hypersensitive to the atmosphere surrounding you and paying heed to your instincts is a characteristic commonly seen among great artists. It might seem that one understands without being told and speaks without words.

Select your art community

It is important to be open-minded to the world and create connections with the right people. Building bonds with those who have similar interests will always spark your creativity.

Live here and now

With the growing use of technology and virtual communication, as human beings, our senses to hear and see the world in its raw self-has been dulled. Take some time off material things and maybe visit inspirational places like the Sri Lankan Art Gallery occasionally to experience Sri Lanka in art and sculpture.

Take initiative

Be the kind of person who brings to life what is envisioned in the mind’s eye. This is what will bring out the masterpiece that hides beneath the surface.

Intrigued by history, art and food, Lavinia Woolf is a writer who is passionate about the extraordinary and writes of the exhilarating and enchanting. Google+
