Thailand has no shortage of beautiful islands and spectacular beaches, and because of this, there are many that are consistently overlooked. Thong Nai Pan is one such place.
Background
Tong Nai Pan actually refers to two beaches, which are Tong Nai Pan Nai, which is the north beach, and Tong Nai Pan Yai, which is the south beach. Both of these locations are within a sub-district of Ban Tai and is just about 23 kilometres away from the main town.
The Scene
The Tong Nai Pan beaches are composed of soft powdery white sand and are eclipsed by looming mountains blanketed by rainforest. This lush natural beauty of Tong Nai Pan makes it one of the most beautiful beaches around.
Swimming
The waters of Thong Nai Pan are safe for swimming all year round, which is not always common in Thailand. Interestingly the waves here are also just right so that surfing can also take place.
Hiking
Due to the rainforest that is largely intact in this area, there are a few hiking trails you can indulge in as well. This is truly one of the dynamic attractions around, and if you’re staying at a Koh Phangan resort and spa along the likes of Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas, be sure to visit this magnificent beach.
