Extinct marine invertebrates, trilobites together with a giant fossil which is said to be the largest in the Asian continent can be found on the second floor which would seem as if you are meandering through an age where dinosaurs roamed the earth’s surface.
The journey does not stop there! Make your way to the third floor where many more examples of the ocean’s finest shells are on show. Additionally a collection of preserved marine life can also be viewed. These include sharks, starfish and the tiny sea urchins which are quite beautiful to look at. Documentary screenings of the museum’s growing collection is one the attractions that continues to draw in large crowds to the shores of Bali. Presently the Bali Shell Museum showcases almost 10,000 shells and a further 100 fossils which make up this enjoyable journey.
