Whale & Dolphin watching
If you want to make the best out of your holiday, you should spare some time to visit Mirissa for Whale and Dolphin watching. You will have the opportunity to view the most famous and the largest marine mammals, ‘Blue Whales’. Visit Buddhist temples
The little town is dotted with a few temples that showcase the country’s rich Buddhist heritage. The Thalaramba Temple is perched on a palm-covered hilltop on the eastern tip of Mirissa. The sunset view from atop the hill is almost perfect. At the end of the little town is Bandaramulla Temple, which is home to a large, seated Buddha statue. The Samudrathira Temple is located just minutes away towards the seaside.

Doctor’s House
If you are looking for a place to wind down with good music and beach vibes, the Doctor’s house is the place for you. There are beach parties happening here every night. This is only 15 minutes away from Mirissa. They have the perfect combination of good food, live music, and drinks with a laid-back vibe.

Coconut Trees Spot
You find this spot after a 15-minute walk from the Mirissa Beach. This is one of the best places to watch the sunset. A walk through the water will get you here or you can come here after having a warm cup of Ceylon tea from one of the small restaurants nearby.
