A visit to the Thoiry Zoo in France is quite a unique experience since it not only lets you drive through an area where you can see exotic wildlife, but also a chance to explore a castle and grounds that date back to the 16th century!

Getting to the zoo
The zoo is part of the historic Château of Thoiry which features an ancient castle and a botanical garden too. Located around 48 km west of Paris and easily accessible by way of private transfers such as Easy Go Shuttle, the zoo offers a fun day out for the whole family.

One of the things that are so great about Thoiry Zoo is the fact that you can drive your vehicle and see animals roam wild and free; at the African Reserve section, you can witness lions, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and more.
