Travelling is certainly fun when you share the experience with your partner. However, it can also lead to those moments of conflict which can ruin the entire trip! Here are some things to be mindful of.

Take Turns When Planning
Instead of one person doing all the planning, both should look to get involved and choose things they would like to do. This could include attractions to visit and restaurants to dine at for a particular day.
Keep in Mind Different Expectations
Your partner may have a completely different expectation for the trip. For example, you may want to stay at Hong Kong boutique hotels like those of the d.Collection and indulge in some shopping while your partner may want to focus more on sightseeing. Come up with a plan BEFORE you leave where both expectations can be met.
Be Mindful of ‘Triggers’
You probably know of certain ‘triggers’ that cause your partner stress or anxiety; this can be everything from having a fear of flying to meeting the ‘in-laws’! Keep these in mind when you travel and learn to help them through those periods of stress.
Listen & Be Patient
Take time to just listen to your partner, be patient and look at the issue from their perspective. Give them space if they need it, say sorry if you are wrong and don’t rub it in if you are right. What’s most important is you have someone you love to share this vacation with!
