A man-made reserve located in Matale, the lake is bordered by Campbell’s Land Forest Reserve. The Sembuwaththa lake is situated at an elevation of 1140 metres and the chilly atmosphere is great for a relaxing time. If you’re looking to get away from the cultural capital of Sri Lanka, then this is the spot. Getting there
The road leading to the lake is not in the best condition, however, the narrow and winding stretch is surely worth the views and atmosphere you are gifted at the end of your journey. If you’re getting there in a large vehicle, you may have to park the vehicle beforehand however, smaller vehicles can be taken further.

The prices may differ from locals to foreigners, and the opening hours are from 8 in the morning right up to 5 in the evening.
