Chiang Mai National Museum
This museum is under the patronage of the King and Queen, in a two-storeyed traditional Lanna style house. Visitors to the museum pass through a total of six different sections, each showcasing Chiang Mai from a different era. Less than 20 minutes from Anantara Chiang Mai Resort and easily reachable from any other Chiang Mai hotel, this museum houses exhibits from as far back as the 13th century, to present contemporary pieces.
Museum of World Insects and Natural Wonders
Run by an entomology enthusiast who has been studying and researching insects for most of his life, this museum is for those that are interested in insects! The museum was founded in 2002 and visitors are given a tour of the museum from the owner himself!
Dara Phirom Museum
For insight into the life of Dara Rassamee, a consort of King Chulalongkorn. This specific individual lived over 100 years ago and played a rather significant role in uniting the Kingdoms of Siam and Lanna. Much of her collection of arts, traditional clothing, and furniture are displayed in her former home, which is open to the public.
