Planning Your Visit
This attraction is on Yeongdo Island and those based here at properties like Citadines Connect Hari Busan can easily plan a visit; you can catch bus #8, 30, or 101. Travellers not staying on the island can take the subway to the Nampo Station (Line 1) and proceed from there by bus. From November to February, the park is open from 5:00am to midnight and from March to October, it operates from 4:00am to midnight. There’s a car park area too for those driving here.

Taejongdae Resort Park is known for its inspiring natural scenery, rocky cliffs, and sea views that attract both locals and those visiting from the top hotels in Busan. This site, which is named after a Shilla Dynasty monarch, King Taejong, who is said to have enjoyed the scenery here, features various trails to explore; amongst the key attractions is the historical Yeongdo Lighthouse that offers more spellbinding views from the top though keep in mind there are plenty of steps to get to it!

Intrepid travellers can also visit the park’s Deungdae and Gamji pebble beaches, while not to be missed is the Taejongdae Observatory which provides more breathtaking panoramas that include “Tea Kettle Island”. Also of interest are the Taejongsa Temple which hosts a yearly Hydrangea Festival (in July), the Spirit of the Sea Monument and the Marine Technician’s Hall of Fame with busts of famous seafarers. Art lovers can additionally head to the See & Sea Gallery with diverse creative works on display.
Getting Around
Since this area is only for pedestrians, you can enjoy worry-free wandering minus the traffic associated with cities! From the entrance of Taejongdae Resort Park, you can walk the circular trail in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. If you would prefer to limit your walking, buy a ticket for the Danubi Circular Train that operates here with stops at main attractions like the Taejongsa Temple, Yeongdo Lighthouse and Taejongdae Observatory.
