There are more than 500 exhibits with interactive elements here and those visiting from a nearby hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong can enjoy more time at various themed galleries. Find out about biological evolution at the Biodiversity Gallery, create rivers and hills in a sandbox at the Earth Science Gallery and be intrigued by the World of Mirrors; you can also enjoy the electrifying plasma globe at the Electricity and Magnetism Gallery and more.
Children’s Gallery
Targeting inquisitive minds, the Children’s Gallery offers young visitors a chance to play and learn at the same time. The special exhibits in this section encourage children to use their imagination as well as develop social skills as they work together to complete certain missions. There’s an onsite workshop and you can find out what’s on offer by checking the daily programme schedule.
Energy Machine
Special mention needs to be made of the Energy Machine which spans a height of 22 metres, the largest of its kind on the planet! A key attraction at the Hong Kong Science Museum, this machine gives observers a chance to witness a demonstration of how numerous balls rolling along tracks between and amidst two towers create visual and sound effects.
