Aisiaque gives visitors a one of a kind experience with a bazaar that combines the night market experience with the mall experience. It is located by the riverside which offers a stunning view of the skyline and city. Asiaques is open from 5 pm – 11 pm for enjoyment.
Getting there
If you are lodged in serviced apartments in Bangkok, perhaps the likes of Adelphi Forty-Nine you would see that this area is quite cramped up with traffic, reaching Aisaque might be difficult in a taxi. It is best to take a boat ride. Hop on the BTS to Saphan Taksin, from here take the free shuttle service to the end of the pier. The boat ride is just 10 minutes and services are available till 11 pm. Getting off the boat, you will set foot on a boardwalk of 300m that is perfect for a romantic stroll.
Asiaque layout
Asiaque is decorated and arranged to give onlookers the feel of the 1900s. A reproduced tram car, pushcarts and anchors are some of the pieces that bring the essence of the retro era to Asiaque. It’s a great place for those who love photography. The decor might look a little overdone, however, the area is definitely spacious and clean making the experience enjoyable.
The Chareonkrung District
The shopping area is divided into four sections that make it easy to find what one might be looking for. Searching for handicrafts, jewellery, souvenirs or clothing? The Chareonkrung District is the place you should be heading for in this case. There is a wide choice of products with over 1000 boutiques to step into. The range included high-class Thai fashionables and stores selling affordable items on offer as well.
The Factory District
Feel the hunger starting to work up after all the exploring and shopping? Head over to the Factory District where you can yet again take delight in a wide choice of food outlets and fine dining restaurants. The district has a variety of international food from the local Thai cuisine to Italian dishes that are simply irresistible!
