There is plenty for guests to see and do in the area, one of the top attractions being Bali Bird Park. It is an interesting, educational and fun experience for all ages. Located in the scenic village of Batubulan, Gianyar Regency, Bali Bird Park is a sprawling tropical garden, home to nearly one thousand exotic birds, both native and foreign. Visitors have a rare opportunity to touch and feed tame species in a recreated version of the birds’ natural environment; other exotic species will feed around you and can be viewed from a distance. Look out for the information panels accompanying each display to learn scientific names of the birds along with interesting facts about each of them. A new addition to the park is the ‘4D Aviation Theatre Experience’ which takes you on a journey with ‘Rilly’ the duck.
The park has a sustainable mission to preserve endangered species through their breeding facility and visitors can get a rare glimpse of these rare birds in each stage of growth at the ‘Hatchling Area’. The Park has also created a ‘bio security system’ with disinfectant footbaths and sprays to maintain the safety of the birds. Entrance for adults is $23.50 and for children aged two to twelve years it will be $11.75. Bali Bird Park is open from 9am to 6 pm daily. If you are a fan of something a little scary, head over to the adjoining Reptile Park and test your limits with some pythons, lizards, crocodiles and even a Komodo dragon.
