The Ban Gioc – Detian Falls crosses the boundary of China and Vietnam and joins another waterfall (in Vietnam), the Banyue Waterfall. It connects the Daxin city of China and the Trung Khanh city of Vietnam. With a drop of more than 70 metres and a deep pool more than 200 metres wide at the bottom, it is truly a breathtaking site .Further down the river it separates into 3 different waterfalls as it rushes down a three tiered cliff.
The serene atmosphere that this waterfall creates is seasonal. A visitor in spring would enjoy the greenery and the flora around the site in full bloom, whereas autumn brings with it warm golden hues. The summer strengthens the flow of the water as if encouraged by the beautiful weather. The harsh air of winter slows the water down, as if to retire for a while from its year round activity.
What better way to enjoy summer than spending time absorbing the natural wonders and the peaceful contentment the gushing waters bring about. One of the most scenic waterfalls in the world the Ban Gioc – Detian Falls is definitely one stopover, not to be missed on your trip to Vietnam. It is a great place to visit for nature lovers and offers an unforgettable day out amidst the country’s spectacular natural landscapes and tranquil atmosphere.
