Mui Ne is not your everyday popular beach resort, especially when compared with other coastal holiday destination, as it took a while to be found. It’s an isolated bit of beautiful white beach which was part of a fishing village. It became popular as a tourist destination in the 1990s and since then has developed into a resort area. The whole resort lies on a 10 kilometre stretch of beach but is adequate to host all what a tropical coastal holiday destination needs: bars, cafes, restaurants.
Though it is perfect for sea lovers Mui Ne does not offer any great diving spots. Even snorkelling is not popular as there isn’t a spectacular sea bed to explore. As a resort its is rather laid back in its style, except for when the waves and the surf is up and calls for action by the part of the tourists. Kite surfing is the most popular sport here and for those who are not keen on any actions the shallow waters are perfect for sitting in or splashing around.
