Hidd Beach
Located opposite the Prince Khalifa Salman Park, Hidd Beach is a popular spot for BBQs and beach games. It’s a lovely area to enjoy a picnic with the family and is within easily reached of many luxury hotels in Bahrain including the likes of Reef Resort Bahrain.
Amwaj Beach
While it’s not exactly a public area, it attracts many beach lovers during the holidays. A favoured recreational space with locals and expats alike, there are many activities to do here such as swimming, playing beach games, kitesurfing, and jet skiing.
Arad Fort
This small picturesque beach stretch is located on the side of the Arad Fort which is considered one of the oldest sites in the Middle East. The spot is ideal for a picnic or long lazy stroll during sunset.
Al Dar Beach
Considered to be one of the best beaches in Bahrain, interested parties will have to get there by taking a boat from Sitra Fisherman Port. Various facilities such as BBQ pits, a snack bar, and water sports equipment are available as well. Do try to make the trip early as it can get quite crowded. Take your passport or CPR along as you will be required to hand it over to the coast guard before entering the island.
