Getting There

If you take Guangzhou Metro Line 1 and arrive at the Chenjiaci Station, you could find the Exit to the main entrance of the Chen Clan Academy.

Overview

Chen Clan Ancestral Home comprises a compound-complex housing six courtyards, nine halls, and nineteen buildings – all connected by corridors.

History

During the period of the Qing Dynasty, a person called Chen was able to acquire a distinguished office title as a result of getting third place in the highest imperial examination, making his family well-known. Later on, this temple was founded to encourage their younger generations to study hard like him.

Architecture

This ancestral temple was built employing the symmetrical style belonging to the traditional Chinese. At the heart of the temple, the Juxian Hall can be found and in front of it, you will notice the stone gazebo amid several stone balustrades.
