The story behind the name
If you’ve done some due diligence about attractions in Sri Lanka, you would already know of Adam’s Peak. Mini Adam’s Peak got the name because it has the same shape but is smaller in size, like a little sibling to the bigger mountain.
About Mini Adam’s Peak
This is known to be one of the best places to visit in Sri Lanka and is easily accessible if you stay at Araliya Hotels & Resorts, for instance. This is quite a fun climb and can be attempted by almost anyone.
The climb
The path that takes you to the peak is quite easy to follow as it has boards and markings throughout the climb. You do not need a guide to attempt it if you are an avid trekker. The climb would last around 3 hours usually.
From the top
Regardless of whether you are tired or not, once you reach the peak, you will be awed by the amazing views below you. The climb down is definitely easier and can be done faster. There are a few places to have food and drinks on the way down, and you can stop at one of the stalls or cafes to re-energise yourself before continuing the walk back to the bottom.
