This is truly something for the kids. Less than a mile from any Sukhumvit hotel is Dinosaur Planet, a dinosaur-themed park that’s crawling with creatures from the pre-historic era. Just when you thought these magnificent beasts were long extinct, here they are gaping at you with their fierce jaws, beady eyes and snapping claws; velociraptors to the tyrannosaurus rex in all their ancient glory. The park was recently opened and is not failing to entertain in the slightest! Locals and foreigners alike curiously enter with a child-like fascination and end up in a flurry of excitement at the sight of the dinosaurs, playing pretend that they are being tailed by these gigantic beasts like in Jurassic Park. If you do happen to be lucky enough to pay a visit to this fun amusement park, do make sure you bring your camera along to take some incredible photographs of the model dinosaurs which take you by surprise by their astonishing realism; they really are fantastically designed and the artwork is superb! Staying at the Emporium Suites by Chatrium means only a short journey to the park.
The cool thing about this park is the amount of effort put into re-creating that natural habitat of the dinosaurs which existed long ago. Some dinosaurs can be found in certain parts of the park and in different landscapes which really adds to the magic. There’s also an equally frightening volcano right smack in the centre for extra fun. A volcanic eruption and raptor stampede is pretty much all you need for the ultimate theme park experience. Dinosaurs young and old will enjoy how educational a visit here can be and it will no doubt be a dream come true for the little ones who only see dinosaurs in picture books. That being said, Dinosaur Planet’s main attraction is the adventure and thrill of making our fantasy of dinosaurs roaming the Earth again come to life.
