Phuket, the largest island of the Thai islands, is linked to the province of Phang Nga via the Sarasin Bridge and has many offshore islands of varying sizes. Most of these are gorgeous, offering divers, snorkellers and beach revellers some of the best sites in Thailand.
Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai
Koh Yao Yai and Koh Yao Noi are in the Phang Nga Province and can be reached from Phuket via ferry. At present, the islands have little development and spotless beaches, although this may change fast! You can find accommodation in a Phuket city hotel the likes of NH Boat Lagoon Phuket and travel to these islands.
Racha Yai Island
Located 20km southward of Chalong Bay, the island is a popular site for new divers.
James Bond Island
Northeast of Phuket is Khao Phing Kan, its fabulous setting made famous by the 007 movie “The Man with the golden gun”. Although it can get a bit touristy, a visit to this site is inevitably on most holiday itineraries.
Koh Panyee

You can encounter many fishing villages held up on stilts in Panyee. This predominantly Muslim island has lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. It is a great place to explore as well.
