Batticaloa Lagoon
Located roughly an hour’s drive away from Pasikuda, the shallow body of turquoise water separated from the city of Batticaloa is the picturesque Batticaloa Lagoon. Stretching across a whopping 56 kilometres, it is the largest of all three lagoons in the Batticaloa district.
Pasikuda Beach

Batticaloa Dutch Fort
The open views of the coast, charming colonial architecture, and other remarkable monuments of the Batticaloa Dutch Fort make for a true feast for the eyes of any visitor to Pasikuda. Aside from the Dutch artefacts, the fort also houses a Buddhist stupa.
Kokkadicholai Thanthondreeswarar Temple
Located 15 kilometres southwest of Batticaloa city, Kokkadicholai Thanthondreeswarar Temple is an important religious site of Hindus living in and around Batticaloa. The temple also attracts many tourists, thanks to its vibrant sculptures and striking architecture.
