If there were ever an attraction in Goa that will put nature’s power and beauty into perspective it would be the Dudhsagar Waterfalls. The Dudhsagar Watersfalls are one of the most breath-taking sights you will witness in Goa. Its enormous size, the stunning beauty, and the thunderous volume of water that cascades down it, truly makes it a waterfall well-worth visiting.
Located along the borders of Goa and Karnartaka, the Dudhsagar Waterfalls cascade about 310m. The waterfall is actually a five tiered waterfall, and leads to the base in different routes. The waterfall is surrounded my luscious greenery, contrasting the white misty waters, creating a truly awe-inspiring sight. The waterfall itself is of immense beauty, and the sight of an endless column of water crashing upon rocks and cascading in a majestically is simply breath-taking. The sheer size of the Dudhsagar Waterfalls and the volume of water that cascades are best appreciated when looking at the waterfalls from a distance, as all you will see is the waterfall being engulfed by a large white cloud – but actually it is just the large amount of spray being diffused into the atmosphere. Even this is quite the sight to see. There are many ways to reach the waterfalls; the most common of which is through the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary that leads to the base, while another path through the rail tracks leads to the middle of the waterfall. All in all, the Dudhsagar Waterfalls is sure to be mesmerizing.
