This amusement park, which was conceptualized by the Landmark Entertainment Group, is located in Sta Rasa, Laguna, on the outskirts of Manila . Spanning 17 hectares of parkland, it was modeled on Knott’s Berry Farm. A member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, the park is sectioned off into seven park zones, each of which revolves around a theme celebrating the lifestyle and achievements of a bygone American era.
The Spaceport zone relives the glory days of the NASA space race of the 1960s. It features the country’s only triple loop coaster and the 11-storey high Space Shuttle. Portobello zone is a replica of its counterpart of the same name in Panama of the Caribbean Sea which was believed to be where the Spaniards stored the riches stolen from the Incas. The carefree Caribbean atmosphere is a much sought after delight for the park visitors and features “wet and wild adventures” such as the Rio Grande and the Flying Fiesta. The zone also boasts a Paintball court and a 4D cinema. Brooklyn Place pulls back the pace to enjoy a stroll through the New York borough of the 1940s. The motion simulator theater Rialto and the Funhouse Express are highlights of this more tempered amusement. Victoria Park is a zone which recreates elegant parkland of Victorian times and houses the Grand Carousel. Boulderville is undoubtedly for the younger children, being peopled by cartoon dinosaurs and kiddies rides, not to mention puppet shows and play areas on the same theme. Midway Boardwalk again harks back to an earlier time and place – Coney Island, the playground of America in the 1930s. It abounds with rides and video games as well as performances by clowns and mimes. The final zone, Jungle Outpost is set in the heart of what is meant to be the Amazon rainforest, and features tribal entertainments among a host of others.
