Sanur beach is a popular escape for a relaxing coastal ambience. The oldest beachside town’s in Bali; it attracts visitors who are longing for a quiet beach holiday.
Sanur has an abundance of restaurants and accommodation so locating a Bali Family Resort the likes of the Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali; is a not so difficult task here. A hotel such as this is perfect for families as then the whole family can enjoy in ease and peace since the resort is recommended to offer child-friendly amenities as well as services.
The Sanur beach is usually abuzz with activity since a string of restaurants, hotels and female masseurs waiting to offer their services can be seen along the stretch. The sun, sights and the sea breeze here make it pleasing to wander along the beach. If you prefer not to walk then hop on a bicycle and let the sea breeze touch your face.
On Sundays, when most of Bali is on holiday, residents in the northern section head to Sanur. The beach is filled with fun and festivity with food vendors; drink stalls and lots of grilled corn to nibble on. It feels like half of Bali’s population is in Sanur on Sundays due to the massive number of motorbikes parked along the roads leading the beach.
When the tide hits high in Sanur you can hire a jukungs (that fits in two passengers) to sail off to sea. These multi-coloured sailing boats going out to sea is a very scenic image on a sunny day. Sanur is a heavily touristic area in Bali so if you are looking for an isolated spot then this not really the place. As one of Bali’s original tourist areas, it has grown to become a popular getaway with kids. The town here is very slow paced and by midnight the town shuts down.
