First Timer’s Burj Khalifa Travel Guide

Burj Khalifa of Dubai is a building with many world records. The tower, designed to resemble the Hymenocallis flower, is the tallest building in the world, the tallest free-standing structure, the elevator with the longest travel distance, and the building with the highest number of floors worldwide. The construction of the building commenced in 2004, and it was officially declared open in 2010. Named after the ruler of Abu Dhabi – Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan, it is dedicated to him in his honour. The Burj Khalifa redefined the architectural and engineering possibility of constructing a building with a remarkable height.

The Architecture

The Burj is designed to combine innovative technologies and cultural influences. Its design embodies references to Islamic architecture with a touch of modernization, which makes it on par with the global community. The building houses eight hotels, luxury apartments, office complexes, and a range of other facilities.

Spectacular Views

The observation deck of Burj Khalifa has the most spectacular views of the Dubai metropolis and the Middle Eastern skyline. During nighttime, the view gets even better when the city lights are on.
