The name of the beach is a rendition of the Dutch phrase “Fried Landt Flaak”. It means flat and free land! This public beach has one of the longest stretches of white sand in Mauritius, while the lagoon is surrounded by coral reefs and scenic views overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Location
It is located in the seaside village of Flic-en-Flac, close to Tamarin Beach. Nearby is the Casela Bird Park featuring hundreds of species of birds like the endemic and threatened pink pigeon.
