Despite several travellers being attracted to the main island, across Victoria harbour you find Kowloon – nicknamed the ‘dark side’. There are tons of things to do in Kowloon, Hong Kong!
Hike Lion Rock Peak
Lion rock is one of the most recognizable natural landmarks in Hong Kong, standing 1600 feet above the ground. A 20-minute drive from Travelodge Kowloon, the peak is worth the workout and sweat as you’re gifted with incomparable breath-taking views of Hong Kong. Take with you plenty of water as the heat tends to get a little much, however, the path is quite easy to hike.
The Star Ferry
Through the Star Ferry is how you can get from Hong Kong island to Kowloon and vice versa. Ranked as the second-best thing to do when in Hong Kong, as seeing the skyline from the ferry is a sight worth seeing.
Hong Kong Light show
At 8 PM every night, a light show known as the ‘Symphony of Lights’ occurs, lasting 13 minutes. Walking distance from most Tsim Sha Tsui hotels. The show was named ‘World’s Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show’ by Guinness World Records.
Kowloon markets
To experience the most real Kowloon experience, dropping by one or more of the many Kowloon markets is a great idea! The temple street night market, ladies market, and goldfish market are examples of a few markets you can drop by! Most of them you can just walk from one to another.
