What to Expect
Hai Phong hasn’t seen much tourist development, so it is still in its raw natural state for the most part. You will find few hotels the likes of Somerset Central TD Hai Phong City in the vicinity. You could ask your hotel to arrange a tour of the mountain for you.
The thing about Elephant Mountain is that it is a challenging climb that you can make alongside visits to some mysterious caves. The natural landscape hasn’t changed since prehistoric times and you can feel it once you are in the middle of it all.
There is also an archaeological site within the mountain that has been dated back to 3000 years ago. You will find evidence of the Mac Dynasty of the 16th century in the ruins of citadels and pagodas.
