This mosque was one of the earliest landmarks in this area, built by late HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who was the Ruler of Dubai at the time. Construction of this mosque began in 1976 and was completed in 1979. This mosque is made entirely of pure white stone, making it one of the most photographed mosques in Dubai. Fee
There is no entrance fee for the mosque, however, there are guided tours if you are interested and each costs AED 25 per person. You do not have to book prior to your visit.
Things to know
One of the best times to visit the mosque is when the sun is just about to set, as it is a beautiful sight to see. Do remember to wear modest clothing if you plan on visiting the mosque. The guided tours start from 10 AM every morning except on Friday.
