How to get here
If you’re staying at a hotel in China similar to Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas, the Huangguoshu Waterfall is one of the Guiyang attractions that you can easily visit using public transportation. You have the choice of taking a bus from either Anshun South or Jinyang Passenger Passenger transport bus stations. The buses depart frequently and the journey takes about 2 hours.
Also known as Huangguoshu Waterfall National Park, the Huangguoshu Waterfall is made up of a cluster of 18 smaller waterfalls. The Doupotang Waterfall, which is located less than 1 kilometre from the Huangguoshu Waterfall at a height of 21 metres is the largest among the cluster.
If you follow from the mountainside of this waterfall you can visit the water cave which dissects the Huangguoshu waterfall. It provides its visitors with a viewpoint to see the waterfall cascade down like a rainbow from the inside.
Xi Niu Tan (Rhinoceros Pool)
Getting its name because it is shaped like a Rhinoceros, Xi Niu Tan is a pool of water that is 11 metres in depth. Located in the interior of Wang shui Ting water viewing pavilion it is a vantage point to visit other water viewing pavilions such as Guan Pu Ting.
