One of two farms on the island, this one close to the airport occupying 8,000 sq m and housing several types of animals along with the crocodiles is larger and better known of the two. Siamese crocodiles, small caimans and huge saltwater crocodiles are found here snoozing in the sun, lying in the shade around their enclosure or simply lying submerged in the ponds dotting the facility. As the farm houses snakes, lizards, monkeys and other animals it is really more of a zoo.
The well known crocodile and snake shows are held three times a day where blood curdling acts of daring are performed with both crocodiles and snakes. Trained to perfection the crocodiles perform incredible feats such as allowing trainers to put their heads in their jaws, touch their tongues, kissing them on the nose, even allowing the trainers to sit on them and to generally have fun with them in their ponds all the while appearing quite tame. The performers use no protection and the audience has a very clear and close view of the proceedings throughout the program. Afterwards there is an opportunity to pet the beasts, although it is only the tail. For those who like more of the same there is also a snake show where some of the world’s most dangerous snakes like the King Cobra are shown off and pythons can be draped around for fun. Well for anyone who has the stomach to view a show full of scaly beasts this is bound to be an exciting and informative experience.
