Named after Adam’s Peak because of the similar shape of the peak, Little Adam’s Peak is one of the highlights of visiting Ella. A small village that became a booming tourist site due to its picturesque locales, Ella is en route on the famous Colombo-Badulla train which is called one of the most beautiful train rides in the world.

The Little Hike
The like to the top of Little Adam’s Peak is not too difficult. The peak is located 1.5km from the town and would take about 2 to 3 hours maximum. It will take you through beautiful tea estates and several viewpoints where you can stop to take pictures.
Beating the Crowds
If you want to beat the crowds and not get too hot on the way up, start at dawn and get there before sunrise. You are guaranteed to see some spectacular views.
The Views from the Peak
The views from the peak are unparalleled. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Southern coastline. Make sure you take as many pictures as you can.
