Finally going on that much-needed vacay and chosen the Maldives as your destination? Here are some useful travel tips to help you get started on your holiday planning!
Research Resorts
There are plenty of places to stay at with properties each occupying an island where you will spend most of your time. When looking for the best resorts in Maldives, find those that offer a wide range of options; this includes beach and overwater villas, water sports, spa rituals, dining venues and excursions too.
Check Out Offers
To make your stay more rewarding, make sure to check out the different Maldives resort offers too. Properties including those belonging to the Park Hotel Group not only have advance purchase and last-minute deals but book direct benefits and exclusive packages catering to families and couples as well.
Choose the Season
The peak season in the Maldives is from November to April and while the weather is at its sunniest best, the rates are understandably higher. The rainy season is from May to October, but do remember it won’t rain all day and you can get some great deals during this period. Tip; surfers will find better waves in the rainy season!
Pack Smart
Swimwear (ideally two options), cotton clothing, flip-flops, sunhats and plenty of sunscreen are essential. Remember, that while bikinis are allowed on private islands, they should not be worn on local islands or public beaches. Also pack a mini first aid kit, moisturiser and a travel adapter for charging your phone / camera.
