The famous wax museum chain that was founded by Marie Tussaud is also located in Hong Kong. Opened in the year of 2006, it is the first Madame Tussauds Museum in Asia. The Gallery is home to over 100 wax statues and many other attractions.
History of the museum chain
The first wax museum was opened by Marie Tussaud in 1835 in baker street London and the museum’s name got famous as it was first advertised in 1843 and almost all the sculptures on the display were made by Marie herself. As the museum got more and more visitors new branches were opened. Today it is a franchise and there are museums worldwide under the name of Madame Tussauds even after her demise.
