Dubai has no shortage of impressive attractions and wondrous places to visit, yet the city is still striving to create bolder and more breath-taking locales. Such is the case with the newest addition to Dubai’s spectacular selection of attractions, the Museum of the Future. The brainchild of Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai’s Museum of the Future plans to serve as a platform to showcase visions for a brighter future for mankind.
The Museum of the Future is located amidst some fairly innovative attractions of their own, such as the Desert Palm PER AQUUM, Dubai an iconic boutique hotel Dubai has to offer, and is scheduled to open to the public on December 2018. Although it will take some time for us to see what the museum will contain, the nature of the contents and exhibits have been clearly outlined by the creators.
According to Sheikh Mohammed, the museum is to motivate inventors to develop visionary ideas for a brighter future in various fields such as urban infrastructure, and display them for all to see. Sheikh Mohammed also further believes that the world is entering an era of rapid innovation and technological excellence, and through this initiative he intends to ensure that Dubai will lead in this coming era instead of lagging behind, and even went as far as to state that the museum is simply the first step of many to come.
In addition to becoming a major tourist attraction and platform for technological and creative genius, the Museum for the Future will provide advanced work-shops and specialised courses, as well as playing host to various public talks and events demonstrating the latest technological marvels. The future seems very bright indeed for Dubai.
