According to the history….
This gate has been originally built in 1624. A rebuilding has happened in 1779, and they have also named this gate as ‘eonseungmun’ (meaning – Battle Victory Gate) remembering the 300 soldiers who risked their lives to attack the Manchus.

There are multiple routes that you can take to reach the North Gate. You can pass the South Gate, West Gate, and then reach the North Gate. This can be a longer route but will help you explore many things.
