Newport is one of the island capital’s most famed restaurants. Although it looks modern and hip, this was the third restaurant in Maldives history and is still going strong.
Breakfast

There’s a smorgasbord of breakfast dishes to enjoy at Newport, from local indulges such as mashuni and roshi and kulhi riha to international favourites such as full English breakfasts and bagels with hash browns. There are also healthier options featuring fruit and whole-grains.
Sandwiches and Snacks
There’s a comprehensive range of burgers and buns catering any sort of diet, as well as intriguing tapas and mezzes such as marrekech chicken, blooming onions and fried mac-n-cheese balls. The pizza fries of Newport are particularly popular.
Mains

The range of main courses is truly astonishing, and even if you’re staying at one of the Maldives luxury resorts in the area such as Baros Maldives, Newport is still worth a visit. The dishes range from t-bone steaks to spaghetti with sun-dried chilli with meats of your choice.
Asian Fusions
Given that Maldivian culture has influences spanning as far as Sri Lanka and India, you can find Asian dishes ranging from local favourites such as kandu kukulhu, to chicken satay, and the iconic Indian butter chicken curry.
