Locally known as Luneta, this icon of Manila is a pleasant space to spend your afternoons and late evenings at. This park holds a significant place in history as Jose Rizal was executed within the ranges, by the Spanish authorities.The most prominent monument in the park is the Rizal Monument, a symbol of the nation, which is guarded by sentries at all times and surrounded by the country’s flags.
What to see
Most of the hotels in Origas Pasig either overlook the park or is just a short distance away from it, especially if you’re staying at a place like Citadines Millennium Ortigas Manila. There is a lagoon in the middle of the park, including a dancing musical fountain that puts up bright and colourful shows during the sunsets.

An open air auditorium lies further in, and if you are in Manila over the weekend, be sure to pop in and check out the concerts that usually happen after 6pm every Saturday night. If you want to spend some time improving your skills, there is a Chess Plaza within the park too, and you can find regular chess players calling out for people to join them for a game.
