Shanghai Happy Valley became the fourth installation of the Happy Valley theme park chain when it was opened to the general public back in 2009. It is a great place to visit while you’re staying at a Shanghai accommodation for rent, for instance, at a property such as Somerset Gubei Shanghai.
Overview
This amusement park can be found 40 kilometres away from downtown Shanghai and approximately covers a gigantic area of 213.4 acres.
Getting There
If you can take Songjiang no. 19 bus, Songzhu Special Line, or Songchong Line, you can get down from the Happy Valley Station.
Layout
Shanghai Happy Valley comprises of seven gigantic areas, each with its own theme; for example, you’ll find zones such as Typhoon Bay, Happy Ocean, Gold Mine Town, and Sunshine Harbour. Happy Ocean is a great place to hang out with the kids. The highest point of this theme park is Treasure Island, which offers incredible views of the Moon Lake and Sheshan Mountain.
Tour Around the Park
You can either opt for a sightseeing train or a battery-powered car to travel across this humongous amusement park. There’s no limit set on the number of times you can take this tour.
