Located on the picturesque Baltic coast the National park is located between the cities of Leba and Rowy. The northern end of the park spans above 21 miles of the coastline. The park was established as an initiative after the World War II. The park composition of the park makes it one of the most unique of its kind in the world. There are forests, meadows, swamps, moors, pastures, lakes, beaches, and dunes all within this one park. The park was mainly created to preserve the Southern coast of the Baltic Sea and ecosystem that depends on it such as the fauna, flora and animals. A registered Biosphere Reserve, the park entertains many visitors every year.
The sand dunes and the coastal lakes are the highlights of the park. The highest sand dune in the park is Czolpinko. The two largest coastal in the park are Lebsko and Gardno.
There is no ideal time to visit the park as throughout the year the temperature does not shoot up to the extreme. February being the month with the lowest temperature.
