Ta Prohm is the name given to an Angkor, Siem Reap temple built in the Bayon architectural style in the 12th and 13th centuries. It was originally constructed as a Buddhist monastery of the Mahayana school by King Jayavarman VII. Since there has been hardly any restoration work done on the temple, the photogenic tree interspersed ruins have become very popular with visitors.
