Reaching almost a thousand feet in height and sloped at a fifty degree angle, the Tal Moreeb is a sand dune located in the UAE (United Arab Emirates). Tal Moreeb, which means Moreeb Dune, measures an amazing 1.6 kilometres in length. The dune’s challenging height, length and steep slope has earned it the nickname ‘Scary Mountain’. It is a popular venue for racing, with several major events being held there. The dune is believed to be the highest sand dune in the UAE and one of the tallest in the world.
Tal Moreeb is situated roughly two hundred and fifty kilometres away from Abu Dhabi and just twenty five kilometres south of the famous Liwa Oasis. There is a paved desert road leading to the dune.
