History
Constructed for the past ten years and much spoken about, the Floating Louvre Museum of Abu Dhabi finally opened on the 11th of November, 2017.
Inside of it
Designed by Jean Nouvel, a French architect, this construction has 55 disconnected buildings, of which 23 are purely gallery spaces that are linked through walkways that look over the deep blue ocean. The plan was that this museum was to have the feeling of being a city of museums, and therefore, the buildings are low rise, making an explorer feel like they are walking through the streets of Arabic Medina.
