Visit Seoul’s most popular palace, once the abode of the Korean royalty. It is located in the centre of Seoul and very easy to get to.
2. Bukchon Hanok Village
The Bukchon Hanok village is located very close to the Gyeongbukgung Palace. It is a perfectly preserved Korean traditional houses location where you can see ancient architecture and admire traditional Korean lifestyles.
3. Suwon’s Hwaseong Fortress
Constructed in the 18th century, the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon makes for a great day trip as it is on the outskirts of Seoul. You can make a trip there from a Myeongdong hotel by bus or by subway.
4. War Memorial and Museum
The War Memorial is not only very interesting and a brilliant example of interactive storytelling it is also very haunting and sobering and a must-visit if you are in Seoul.
5. N Seoul Tower
N Seoul Tower on Namsan mountain is very popular among the locals as well as foreigners. The easiest way to get to it would be to take a cable car from Myeondong station, which is only a 12-minute bus ride away from Travelodge Myeongdong Euljiro. There is a bus that comes back down to Myeongdong afterwards.
