Hikkaduwa Coral Gardens
Lying several hundred metres off the coast from Hikkaduwa Beach is its thriving coral sanctuary. Visitors to this majestic destination can either snorkel or hire a glass-bottomed boat to witness over seventy varieties of multi-coloured corals.
Sea Turtle Hatchery
A must-visit in Hikkaduwa, the Sea Turtle Hatchery houses a series of tanks that are allocated for different species of turtles, accompanied by signboards featuring bits of information on each animal. There is also a sandy area near the entrance where turtle eggs are hatched.
