Although spending time shopping and tasting wonderful local dishes are amongst the best ways to spend your time in Kuala Lumpur, you might want to check out these arty places too.
Changkat Bukit Bintang
This is the place to go to if you’re in the mood for a snack on the sidewalk of an artsy café. A large avenue filled with cute hotels and photo-worthy establishments, it’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for a hotel in Bukit Bintang or nearby so you can soak up the charming atmosphere daily.
Graffiti Alley

There are cafes and hotels nearby that follow a similar artsy vibe such as The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel where you feel like you’re living in a work of art.
Menara Kuala Lumpur
Located majestically atop the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve this tall structure is the world’s 5th tallest communications tower. It is an exemplary work of art and craftsmanship with its beautiful Arabic scripts and Malaysian Architecture.
Sri Mahamariamman Temple
Built in 1873 by Tamil immigrants, this temple is rich in history, as it is in art. Its expansive architecture is filled with unique murals, Spanish and Italian tiles and precious metal and stones. Other highlights include its intricate and colourful ‘Raja Gopuram’ tower that will leave you in awe.
