Although a developing country, luxury is not absent here. Dotted in the vicinity are some of the finest hotels in Kurunegala the likes of Birds Park which is known for their perfect blend of nature with luxurious comfort which is a rare combination.

It comes with tropical insects
A key feature of a tropical country is its bugs and critters. If you are visiting Sri Lanka it is important that you go armed with insect repellents.
Pack Plenty of Cotton Clothes
Temperatures here are usually around 27.0 °C (81 °F), so you might want to pack some lightweight cotton clothing to avoid being boiled like a lobster. Some of the other essentials include sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses & comfortable footwear.
Taste the tea
The main export of Sri Lanka is tea. As such, it is but a little wonder that the people have a strong affinity towards tea. Being offered a cup of tea is customary no matter where you go and what the time is. Remember that Sri Lankan’s express their love and affection through food, and are likely to overload your cup of tea with sugar if they really like you.
